Computing Products SRE Engineer (North America)

Contract (12 months) About the Role We are looking for a Computing Products SRE Engineer to support a leading cloud provider's core compute product line in North America. Key products include Lightweight Cloud and CVM (Cloud Virtual Machine) — comparable to EC2 and a critical part of the cloud ecosystem. This role is highly operations-focused, with an emphasis on production reliability, compliance, and service delivery. Mature internal tools and systems are already in place — the key is being able to effectively leverage them rather than build from scratch. Key Responsibilities Production Reliability & Operations Monitor and maintain computing products in the North America region to ensure high availability and reliability Support compliance-driven operational requirements and ensure service stability Deployment & Release Management Deploy new features, enhancements, and bug fixes into production environments after delivery from R D Support regional rollout, upgrades, and architecture optimization using CI/CD and internal tools Troubleshooting & Customer Support (B2B) Respond to client inquiries and perform technical troubleshooting Diagnose and resolve production issues and system-level incidents Automation & Efficiency Develop scripts/tools to improve operational efficiency and service quality Utilize automation and AI tools to enhance productivity (evaluated during interviews) Process Optimization Improve and document operational workflows to enhance delivery quality On-call Support Participate in on-call rotation (mechanism under evaluation) Handle production incidents and ensure timely resolution Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or a related field Strong understanding of Linux systems (kernel, memory, processes, threads, IPC, signals) with solid troubleshooting ability Strong foundation in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, ICMP, load balancing, subnetting) Familiarity with compute infrastructure / virtualization concepts Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python / Shell) with hands-on automation experience Strong service mindset and ownership of production systems Awareness of on-call responsibilities and ability to handle live production issues Ability to quickly learn and effectively use internal tools Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Preferred Qualifications Experience with KVM, Docker, or virtualization technologies Experience debugging kernel-level or infrastructure-related issues Familiarity with public cloud platforms (e.g., EC2 or similar compute services) Contributions to open-source projectsAdditional Information Team Structure:
