Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a Requirements Tools Engineer to support and optimize requirements management infrastructure for medical device product development programs. This role focuses on administering enterprise tools, managing data migrations, and enabling engineering teams through structured processes and training. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish scalable frameworks and best practices for managing requirements and design control documentation efficiently. Key Responsibilities Lead migration of requirements and related data from legacy tools (e.g., IBM DOORS, Jama, Excel, Jira) to new platforms, ensuring data integrity and traceability Administer and configure requirements management tools, including workflows, templates, hierarchies, versioning, and baselining Develop and maintain requirements management plans aligned with quality and regulatory standards Create standardized templates, traceability frameworks, and governance models Maintain requirements databases and support automation, scripting, and tool integrations Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to engineering teams Act as the subject matter expert for requirements tools and best practices Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field 5+ years of hands-on experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, or similar platforms Strong experience with requirements/data migration from legacy systems Understanding of medical device development and design control processes Excellent communication skills with ability to train and support engineering teams Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment Preferred Qualifications Experience as a tool administrator or configuration owner in regulated environments Exposure to scaling requirements frameworks across large or multi-team programs Familiarity with FDA regulations such as 21 CFR Part 820 Experience with software-driven or connected medical devices Strong understanding of requirements traceability and lifecycle management
