As a Technical Consultant, Enterprise Data Engineer, you will design and implement scalable geospatial data platforms that support Defense and Intelligence operations. You will work directly with customers to architect data solutions that integrate, manage, and optimize complex datasets across secure environments. From database design and performance tuning to high availability and data security, your work will ensure that critical geospatial information is delivered reliably to the people who depend on it most. This role combines enterprise data engineering, geospatial technology, and mission impact, giving you the opportunity to solve complex data challenges in environments where performance, scale, and reliability are essential. Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Redlands, CA area for this position. Responsibilities Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure database solutions to support mission-critical applications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams during all phases of implementation including requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment
Configure and maintain database environments, including backup, restore, high-availability, and disaster recovery strategies
Monitor and tune database performance using industry-standard tools and methodologies (such as query optimization, indexing strategies)
Implement data security measures, access controls, and compliance standards across environments
Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency
