- Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding.
- Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Support Autonomy and Fault Management (AFM) development
- Support Fault and Autonomy onboard response development
- Develop & execute per the development process for Stored Command Sequences
- Support development of payload fault management architecture
- Support development and execution of verification and validation tests to be used on software simulators, test beds, and to sell-off fault management requirements
- Support execution of AFM tests, approve test results and/or reports, and generate requirement verification reports
- Experience in or an understanding of AFM test in FSW (Flight Software), SVTB (Space Vehicle Test Bed), and AI&T (Assembly Integration & Test) required Basic Qualifications for Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer
Fault Management:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR
- PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ year(s) of engineering experience
- Experience in or exposure to System Engineering Autonomy and Fault Management architecture
- Experience in or exposure to design, OPSCON, and/or Flight Software-related Launch & Operations with Anomaly Resolution/Recovery background or understanding
- Candidate must have active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date OR
- Candidate must have an active U.
Fault Management:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 8+ years of engineering experience OR
- Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 6+ years of engineering experience OR
- PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 4+ years of engineering experience
- Experience in or exposure to System Engineering Autonomy and Fault Management architecture
- Experience in or exposure to design, OPSCON, and/or Flight Software-related Launch & Operations with Anomaly Resolution/Recovery background or understanding
- Candidate must have active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date OR
- Candidate must have an active U.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or above in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline
- Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Ability to work independently without appreciable direction
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance (or equivalent) with active SCI access at time of application and prior to start date

Flexible Schedules:

$114,000.00- $171,000.
Secondary Level Salary Range:
$142,200.00- $213,400.
