Systems Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)

Location:

Sacramento, CA | 100% Onsite Ledgent Technology is partnering with a growing Sacramento-based organization to hire a Systems Administrator for an onsite, contract-to-hire role supporting a production environment. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys owning infrastructure, solving complex problems, and working closely with the business. This role is W2 only through Ledgent Technology . What You'll Do Plan, deploy, configure, and support servers, storage systems, networking, cloud applications, and core IT infrastructure Maintain system health through monitoring, updates, patching, and performance tuning Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues while providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 support Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, audits, and vulnerability assessments Build scripts and tools to automate tasks and improve stability and efficiency Maintain detailed documentation covering configurations, changes, and operational processes Generate reports related to system performance, usage, and incidents Partner closely with cross-functional teams to support projects and integrate new technologies aligned with business needs Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent hands-on experience 3+ years of professional IT Systems Administration experience Experience supporting corporate data and knowledge management environments Preferred Experience Experience in biotech, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments Advanced Microsoft 365 experience including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, and Point Online Mobile Device Management experience Administering on-prem virtual environments Enterprise backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions Okta application configuration and troubleshooting Infrastructure automation and configuration management NAS and SAN storage administration Enterprise networking experience including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, VLANs, and multi-site environments Scripting experience with PowerShell and or Python Solid understanding of system integrations and dependencies Important Details Employment type : Contract-to-hire Pay type : W2 through Ledgent Technology only Work location : Onsite at a Sacramento production facility No C2C, no third-party vendors, no referral fees If you're a hands-on Systems Administrator who wants stability, ownership, and a path to permanent employment, this is a strong opportunity.
