Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 2 Systems Engineer-IT with a Secret clearance to work from our Boulder, CO location. Join a team where your network expertise will keep the sensors that watch the sky running flawlessly, give our warfighters the split-second advantage they need, and help keep the world safe. SBIRS and the Next-GenGEO OPIR
ground stations form the backbone of the United States' missile-warning architecture. By delivering near-real-time, high-confidence detection of ballistic missile launches and other hostile trajectories, these systems provide life-saving early warning for the warfighter, enable rapid decision-making, and support cueing of defensive interceptors and command-and-control assets. Your work will directly protect troops, allies, and critical infrastructure worldwide.As Systems Admin you will:
- Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.
- Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system wide software and allocate mass storage space.
- Have experience with both Linux and Windows system administration, including installing, patching, troubleshooting and hardening Linux and Windows operating systems (both bare-metal and virtual machines)
- Have experience with System Security Implementations.
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Security+ Certification
- Experience with both Linux and Windows system administration, including installing, patching, troubleshooting and hardening Linux and Windows operating systems (both bare-metal and virtual machines)
- Experience with System Security Implementations.
- Active Secret clearance is required prior to start and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance Desired Skills
- Proficiency in working with OpenShift and containers
- Proficiency in working with AWS Cloud components and services
- Proficiency in cyber security and Splunk
- Configuration and management of routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices
- Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and vulnerability management
- Understanding of server hardware, storage systems, and backup solutions
- Experience with operational ground systems
- Be a team player and work in a collaborative team environment
- Desire to work in a fast paced, mission-focused environment
- Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with a strong work ethic
- Effective organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:
