The holder of the post, under the responsibility of either the Head of Department Platforms & Systems or Network & Datacenter depending on the profile required, ensures the smooth operation, administration and evolution of all systems, servers, networks and components of the IT infrastructure of the Organization in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs). The systems concerned are hosted within the data centers of the Organization at the Headquarters and on remote sites (Regional Bureaus and National Central Bureaus)

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ACTIVITIES/PRINCIPALES MISSIONS ET ACTIVIT

ÉS DUTY 1: Infrastructure Operations Using Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices, implements procedures, playbooks, and automated tasks to proactively manage our private cloud. Troubleshoots the systems infrastructure including hardware, virtualization and storage infrastructure and make corrective actions when necessary. Provides technical guidance to technicians to ensure the smooth operation of our private cloud. DUTY 2: Infrastructure Improvements In collaboration with the Infrastructure Architects works on our annual roadmap projects, their definition and implementation to ensure continuous improvement of our Infrastructure. Implements new systems, including hardware and software, with the contribution from Infrastructure technicians, for our production environments. Including the testing and validation prior to deployment. Following Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management principals manages the automation tools used to oversee the complete lifecycle of our IT environment. Writes codes to reduce toil and remove repetitive tasks, ensure these are available to all team members using collaborative platforms. Participates in feasibility studies for new initiatives and with supervision writes the technical specifications for RFPs. DUTY 3: Infrastructure Support Provides level 2 and level 3 infrastructure support. Takes ownership for the resolution of incidents in production Prioritizes and responds to Service Desk tickets as appropriate, provides timely response to escalations in accordance with defined SLAs. Ensures all relevant documents exist and standard operating procedures are available and up to date. Could participate in 24x7 on-call duty rotation. Perform any other duties as required by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

Education and qualification required: Three-to-four years' education at a University or other specialized higher education establishment.

Experience required:

At least 3 years' experience building, configuring and managing enterprise infrastructure with a focus on end user environments, virtual desktop solutions and mobile device management solutions. Ten years' experience in the area is required if the post holder does not have the required level of education.

Working knowledge of English is required. Fluency in English is highly desirable. Proficiency in a second official languages of the Organization (Arabic, French or Spanish) would be an additional asset.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

required: Kubernetes & Linux Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes operations and Linux system administration. CKA certification highly desirable. Experience with Rancher for Kubernetes cluster management a plus. Containerization & Networking
• Solid understanding of container runtimes, Kubernetes networking, ingress, and traffic management. Reliability & Observability
• Skilled in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring performance and availability of production clusters. Security & Access Control
• Knowledge of Kubernetes security best practices, RBAC, secrets management, and cluster hardening. Automation & Platform Operations
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cluster lifecycle management. Cloud & Storage Management
