Build the Future of Enterprise Infrastructure Insight Global is seeking a VMware Infrastructure Engineer to join a critical infrastructure modernization initiative with a leading enterprise organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who thrives in greenfield environments , enjoys building infrastructure from the ground up , and is passionate about automation, Infrastructure as Code, and enterprise-scale virtualization . In this role, you'll help design and deploy a brand-new VMware 9.1 environment leveraging modern 3-tier architecture while partnering with a highly technical team driving infrastructure transformation. What You'll Be Doing ? Design, build, and deploy a new VMware 9.1 environment from scratch ? Architect and implement modern 3-tier virtualization infrastructure ? Deploy and manage enterprise SAN/storage solutions ? Leverage Terraform, Ansible, and Packer to automate infrastructure deployments ? Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices ? Configure and manage server hardware, firmware, and storage environments ? Create architecture documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures ? Support enterprise infrastructure modernization initiatives Must-Have Experience
- 4+ years of VMware engineering experience
- Experience designing and implementing VMware environments, not just supporting them
- VMware 9 / 9.1 experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of 3-tier hypervisor architecture
- Enterprise SAN/storage experience (Dell PowerStore preferred)
- Fibre Channel storage experience
- Server hardware and firmware management
- Terraform, Ansible, and Packer
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Bachelor's degree required Nice to Have ? VMware certifications ? Experience modernizing VMware 8 environments ? Enterprise infrastructure transformation experience ? Highly automated infrastructure environments Why This Opportunity?
