Cloud Infrastructure Architect Position Overview We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to serve as a senior technical leader responsible for shaping and advancing the organization's Microsoft Azure cloud environment. This is a hands-on architecture role with no direct reports , ideal for someone who enjoys owning cloud strategy while remaining close to the technology. The Architect will help drive cloud modernization, infrastructure automation, governance, monitoring, identity, security, and operational improvements across a growing enterprise environment. With significant cloud transformation initiatives ahead, this role provides an opportunity to influence both the Azure roadmap and the standards used to operate the environment at scale . Key Responsibilities Architect, design, and optimize enterprise infrastructure within Microsoft Azure Define and evolve cloud architecture strategy, standards, and roadmap Lead cloud modernization and migration initiatives across the enterprise Design and improve identity and access management leveraging Entra ID and the broader Microsoft ecosystem Support infrastructure integration associated with M&A activity , including tenant and mailbox migrations Establish cloud governance, security, monitoring, resiliency, and operational best practices Drive greater automation through Terraform, Ansible, and infrastructure-as-code practices Improve observability and proactive monitoring using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics Architect solutions supporting backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity Partner with IT operations teams to improve incident management, ticket workflows, and overall operational discipline Provide senior-level technical guidance and mentorship without formal people-management responsibilities Evaluate emerging cloud, automation, data, and AI capabilities that can improve infrastructure operations Technology Environment Microsoft Azure | Entra ID | Azure Monitor | Log Analytics | Azure Site Recovery | Intune | Terraform | Ansible | ServiceNow | Databricks | SharePoint | OneDrive | Microsoft Teams What We're Looking For Deep experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure infrastructure Strong background in cloud architecture, cloud operations, and infrastructure modernization Expertise with Entra ID, identity and access management, and Microsoft cloud technologies Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation, ideally Terraform and/or Ansible Strong understanding of cloud governance, monitoring, security, resiliency, and disaster recovery Experience supporting complex enterprise environments with significant operational requirements Ability to operate as a hands-on senior technical leader and individual contributor Experience with M&A integrations, Microsoft tenant migrations, or mailbox migrations is highly valuable Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical teams and IT leadership Why This Opportunity?
