Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Architect of AI Intelligence & Platform Engineering for a top enterprise client investing heavily in building a world-class AI platform. This leader will operate as the architect and owner of the organization's foundational intelligence layer—driving context engineering, semantic modeling, governance, and AI safety at scale. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role offers a rare opportunity to build a greenfield enterprise AI platform that moves beyond experimentation into real-world, mission-critical production. The ideal candidate is deeply technical, highly entrepreneurial, and energized by building systems—and teams—that will define how AI operates across the business for years to com. Day to
Day:
  • Architect and own the enterprise AI intelligence stack end-to-end
  • Design and scale the context engine, semantic layer, and knowledge graph
  • Establish standards for prompt engineering, evaluation, and versioning
  • Lead AI governance, safety, compliance, and protection frameworks
  • Build and manage a high-performing team of 4-6 senior engineers
  • Partner directly with the CIO to define multi-year AI platform strategy
  • Oversee production delivery, SLAs, and performance metrics (latency, accuracy, hallucinations)

  • 4-6+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or applied AI/ML
  • 2+ years in technical leadership or people management roles
  • Deep hands-on expertise building enterprise-scale AI intelligence platforms
  • Proven experience with context engineering, RAG architectures, and knowledge retrieval systems
  • Strong background in semantic layers, ontologies, and knowledge graphs
  • Hands-on experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector)
  • Advanced knowledge of LLMs, embeddings, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated ability to architect AI governance, guardrails, auditability, and risk controls
  • Track record of hiring, mentoring, and leading senior technical teams (4-6 FTEs) Ability to translate complex technical systems into executive-level strategy and risk narratives
  • Background at Palantir Technologies or similar mission-critical AI organizations
  • Experience operating AI systems in high-stakes, regulated environments
  • Familiarity with
NIST AI RMF, EU AI
Act, MITRE ATLAS, or comparable AI governance frameworks
  • Experience building multi-tenant AI platforms with strong access controls and observability
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Industry experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments
