DevSecOps Engineer (Data Platform) Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position: Builds and operates secure delivery pipelines and platform automation for CPE-STRI's data platform, enabling teams to deliver analytics capabilities faster while meeting Army/DoD security requirements.
Integrates security controls into the build/release process (scanning, baselines, configuration, logging) and supports operational readiness across environments.
Key Responsibilities include: Implement CI/CD pipelines for data services, ETL jobs, and platform components with security checks and approvals.
Develop infrastructure-as-code and automated environment provisioning (networking, identity, storage, compute).
Integrate vulnerability scanning, container hardening, secrets management, and configuration baselines.
Support RMF/ATO evidence generation (logs, artifacts, control mappings) and continuous monitoring. Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications): 5 years of experience with BA/BS or MA/MS.
Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure automation in secure environments.
Experience implementing security-by-design controls and supporting operational compliance needs.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
Active SECRET strongly desired; ability to obtain and maintain SECRET (or higher) required. Task-order DD254 may require higher clearance (e.g., TS/SCI). Nice to Have (skills that are not required, but nice to have): Experience with STIG hardening, configuration management, and continuous monitoring toolchains
Experience supporting multiple product teams in a SAFe/Agile release train model
