Field Systems Engineer

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various systems and equipment, including electrical and mechanical systems. The Field Technician will work independently, traveling to different locations to provide field service and technical support to our customers. Duties The Field Technician will perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Perform field service and maintenance on various equipment and systems
• Assist with network installation and upgrades
• Install and configure network equipment and cabling
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues
• Conduct fiber splicing and termination
• Provide technical support to customers
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs and kneel when required ```Experience```
• Previous experience as a field technician or service technician required
• Must have hands-on experience running cable to support security systems, WiFi, access control, and data networks
• Knowledge of the use of first stop and installing cable support systems
• Must know how to terminate 66 and 110 blocks
• Must have: UTP 4 pair cable tester, tone generator, butt set, and minimum of 6-8ft Frame ladder
• Knowledge of computer networking, telephone systems, and cabling
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with low voltage systems and equipment
• Knowledge of POS and CCTV equipment a plus
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and specialized equipment
• Scissor and boom lift experience a plus
• Must not be afraid of heights or small places
• You must have a valid license and reliable transportation As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to our clients.

You will be working with a variety of equipment and systems, including low voltage systems, computer networking, telephone systems, and cabling. Your primary duties will include performing field service and maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, installing and configuring network equipment, conducting fiber splicing, and assisting with network installations. To excel in this role, you should have previous experience as a field technician or service technician. You should possess strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with low voltage systems, hand tools, fiber splicing, network installation, computer networking, and telephone systems is essential. Additionally, you must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving abilities, be able to work independently and as member of a team when required.
