Description:
DC Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Controls System Integrator to join our dynamic team! In this role, you'll collaborate with a talented group of Engineers, System Integrators, Programmers, and Panel Builders to deliver innovative and high-quality automation solutions. What You'll Do Serve as the lead systems integrator on diverse projects, guiding solutions from concept through design, implementation, and commissioning. Design and implement system architectures ensuring compatibility, scalability, and performance. Develop and program advanced PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems. Apply strong knowledge of physical and automated systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and control functionality. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues, perform I/O testing, and validate overall system performance with a high degree of accuracy. Operate independently with minimal supervision while actively contributing to a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. Act as the primary technical point of contact for all system integration activities and deliverables. Coordinate effectively with internal engineering teams, external consultants, vendors, and key business stakeholders to ensure project success. What We're Looking For Proven experience in control systems integration. Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming. Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities. High-level competency in system troubleshooting and validation. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel, average 10-15% typical, but dependent on specific projects. Physical ability to work in the field on job sites doing control system start-ups or trouble shooting
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in control system integration Proven ability to execute and deliver projects independently with minimal supervision Strong understanding of physical equipment systems, including pumps, valves, and instrumentation, and how they operate as an integrated solution Deep expertise in PLCs and control system interfaces (HMI/SCADA) Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical thinking Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically capable of performing field commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities in industrial and construction environments, including climbing ladders/stairs, lifting equipment and materials, working in outdoor conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Water/Wastewater systems and/or food processing Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or closely related field Why Join DC Engineering?
