Confidential Client — Embedded Firmware Engineer Opportunity Build Technology That Makes a Difference Our client is seeking a hands-on Embedded Firmware Engineer to develop and support safety-focused monitoring products used in industrial environments. This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys writing embedded C, working directly with hardware, and solving real-world problems across firmware, sensors, testing, and manufacturing. What You'll Do Develop and maintain embedded C firmware for microcontrollers and real-time systems. Integrate sensors and troubleshoot firmware, electronics, and product issues. Support hardware bring-up, product validation, manufacturing, and production testing. Improve product reliability, test processes, and firmware performance. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve technical challenges. What You'll Bring Hands-on experience developing embedded C firmware . Knowledge of microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems. Experience debugging firmware and hardware issues. An interest in physical products, sensors, testing, and manufacturing. A practical, hands-on mindset and willingness to own problems through resolution.

Nice to have:

RTOS, Python, automated testing, ISO 9001, quality systems, validation, or manufacturing test experience.

Additional Details Work arrangement:

Onsite five days per week in Lake Zurich, Illinois, with flexibility around daily start and end times.
