Job Description

Patriot Products, LLC is a growing central Indiana company focused on the development of innovative training products for the US military and its allies. We are actively seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead our expanding controls/electrical engineering product development efforts.
Responsibilities:
Design motion controls for electro-mechanical and pneumatically actuated systems. Integrate off the shelf controllers, actuators, sensors, etc. into systems. Specify AC/DC motors and actuators for products. Design, layout and oversee the building of control panels/HMI's and cable assemblies. Program final product. Support the building, troubleshooting and installation of projects at customer sites. Generate functional system documentation packages including schematics, layouts and manuals. Ongoing familiarity with relevant emerging technologies.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience. 7+ years in design, build and programming of control systems. Solid working knowledge of pneumatic and electro-mechanical devices. Previous experience integrating electrical motors. Experience programming industrial PLCs such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens and Omron. Experience with micro-controllers and C/C++ programming is a plus. Must be capable of passing government personal background check. Support other company efforts as needed. Must be capable of working in a team environment. Must be experienced in taking a project from conception through installation. Occasional travel will be necessary in both the US and overseas. Competitive salary and benefits with experience.
