$118,000•$142,000 / year (dependent on experience, education, and skill set) About the Role Seeking an experienced Systems Engineer (Level 3) to drive requirements analysis, system architecture design, and technical integration for mission-critical programs in Elkridge, MD. In this role, you will evaluate Concept of Operations (CONOPS), user requirements, and high-level architectures to develop comprehensive system requirements specifications. You will provide technical leadership across the engineering lifecycle—conducting feasibility studies, guiding design and development activities, authoring system architecture documentation, and interfacing directly with government and program stakeholders to ensure the technical integrity of all deliverables. Key Responsibilities Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and high-level system architectures to derive detailed system requirements specifications. Lead system design and development efforts, providing technical leadership on the integration of requirements, architecture, and emerging technologies. Guide stakeholders in formulating requirements, evaluate alternative approaches, and execute feasibility studies. Seamlessly transition and incorporate new designs, plans, and technical baselines into ongoing operational systems. Author technical documentation, system architecture models, and detailed design specifications. Develop and evaluate Systems Engineering Management Plans (SEMPs) and System Integration and Test Plans. Interface directly with government overseers, senior leadership, and cross-functional technical teams to resolve technical trade-offs, constraints, and conflicts. Maintain ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity and quality of engineering deliverables within your scope.
Required Qualifications & Experience Security Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma / GED plus at least 12 years of general systems engineering experience, OR Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus at least 7 years of systems engineering experience, OR Master's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus at least 5 years of systems engineering experience, OR Ph.D. in a Qualified Engineering Field or related discipline plus at least 3 years of systems engineering experience.

Proven expertise across the full systems engineering lifecycle, technical documentation, CONOPS analysis, integration planning, and stakeholder collaboration.
