Job Description:
Cloud Architect Linthicum Heights, MD Support mission-critical cloud architecture efforts for the United States Air Force and DC3 by designing secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions in high-responsibility environments. Before You Apply This is a short-term W-2 position with the potential for conversion to a full-time W-2 position for the right candidate. This role is not eligible for Allyon benefits . Active Secret clearance required Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required 12 years of experience with B.S or 10 years of experience with M.S required Candidates cannot proceed in the application process without meeting the required qualifications listed above. What You Will Do You will support cloud architecture and engineering efforts by: Designing and defining cloud architectures that support scalability, security, and performance Analyzing application and system requirements to develop cloud-based solutions Supporting the deployment and integration of cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments Collaborating with cloud engineers and security teams to align infrastructure, networking, and deployment strategies Ensuring cloud environments meet requirements for compliance, interoperability, and operational efficiency Applying DevSecOps principles and CI/CD practices to support modern application delivery Leveraging Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible to support consistent deployments Supporting containerized and cloud-native architectures using Kubernetes and related technologies Incorporating identity and access management solutions into cloud designs Monitoring and optimizing cloud environments to improve performance and cost efficiency Required Qualifications Active Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience 10 or more years of relevant experience in cloud architecture or engineering One or more certifications aligned to IAM Level III or IASAE Level II such as CISSP, CCSP, or CASP+ Strong experience with cloud platforms including AWS and Azure Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles including networking, scalability, and security Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Understanding of microservices architecture, SDLC, and agile methodologies Experience with identity and access management solutions Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams Preferred Qualifications Experience with cloud observability and monitoring tools Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and CI integration tools Working knowledge of Linux administration and programming languages such as Python, Java, or C# The expected salary range for this position is $170,000 to $190,000. Compensation is determined based on experience, technical expertise, certifications, clearance level, and alignment to mission requirements and work location.
