Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH! MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team working in Lexington Park, MD. This is an onsite position. The Senior Systems Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support the Direct and Time Sensitive Strike Program Office. You will provide critical engineering expertise for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapons systems, with a primary focus on supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases for the AARGM-ER and APKWS programs. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading the execution of complex engineering tasks and providing support for the development of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) and APKWS. Applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, and test military weapons systems. Reviewing and preparing technical analyses, reports, and change proposals for advanced weapons programs. Utilizing systems engineering methods and tools for system integration, configuration management, and quality assurance testing. Analyzing and evaluating software and components related to the functional requirements of military weapons systems and associated support systems. Performing programmatic and technical leadership roles to identify and design practical solutions to engineering problems. Guiding the engineering development of modern complex systems while working with all stakeholders to meet mission requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a technical or scientific discipline 10+ years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering or technical analysis position with at least 3 years related to DoD systems Demonstrated experience and expertise in engineering principles as applied to military weapons or complex electronic systems. Proven ability to lead complex tasks with little to no guidance in a high-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases and international program requirements. Experience with the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER) or Advanced Precision Kill Weapons System (APKWS).
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active or current Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations. The projected compensation range for this position is $116,400.00-$194,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
