  • LabWare LIMS Systems Engineer

  • in Kalamazoo, MI and provide end-user support.
This role is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day stability, performance, and operation of the LabWare LIMS platform supporting laboratory operations. The role works closely with Laboratory Operations, Quality, Customer Experience, Data Governance, Analytics, and IT teams to ensure operational readiness, documentation, and incident response. Continuous improvement is expected through workflow automation, instrument integrations, sequencing integrations, and adherence to best practices in secure coding, data integrity, and release management.
  • Duties and Responsibilities
  • :•+ Maintain stability and daily operation of the LabWare LIMS platform + Ensure laboratory orders process successfully and remove system impediments impacting workflows + Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues + Manage code quality, change control, and system upgrades + Serve as the subject matter expert on process flows, code, and business logic within the LIMS system + Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and map laboratory workflows + Translate business needs into technical specifications and project plans + Optimize digital laboratory workflows and support system enhancements + Support integrations with laboratory instruments, sequencing platforms, ERP systems, and web technologies •Skills and Qualifications•:•+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Biological Sciences, or a related field required + Minimum 5+ years of experience supporting or developing LabWare LIMS systems + Advanced experience configuring and customizing LabWare LIMS + Experience with LIMS APIs and integrations + Strong understanding of laboratory workflow digitization + Programming skills including Python, Java, JavaScript (Node/React), and SQL + Experience integrating LIMS with lab sequencers, ERP systems, CRM platforms, and web technologies (REST, SOAP, JSON, XML) + Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO and GLP + Strong business analysis and project management capabilities + Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions + Experience with testing frameworks, code quality tools, and automation practices + Experience in Animal Health, Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Clinical Laboratory environments preferred + Certifications such as CBAP or PMP are a plus •Wage Range•: The rate for this position is between •$43.
00 - $53.00 per hour
  • , unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
