Position Summary:
A systems engineer's job is to design, implement, and maintain IT systems. This includes considering cyber security, networking implications, and cross system integration impacts. Well-built systems have low down time and strong resiliency. A systems engineer will troubleshoot issues when they arise and solve problems to minimize down time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Technology Management Oversee the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems, software, and networks. Ensure robust cybersecurity protocols to safeguard organizational data and infrastructure. Monitor technological trends and recommend innovations to improve processes and performance. Ensure compliance with all applicable IT regulations and standards. Operational Support Provide guidance and troubleshooting support for complex IT issues. Ensure reliable operation of all technology systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions. Manage IT vendor/supplier relationships. Collaboration & Communication Act as a liaison between the IT department and other organizational units. Communicate IT plans, initiatives, and updates effectively to stakeholders. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to optimize technology solutions. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong teamwork and communication skills Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems Experience managing cloud based and on-premises servers Familiarity with our software platforms including Azure, AzureAD, Exchange, Office 365, Intune, Sentinel One, KnowBe4, and Mimecast Strong Azure experience is favored. Some PowerShell, Power BI, low code, or Power Automate scripting ability Competencies Required Makes confident, fact-based decisions. Possesses effective communication and interpersonal skills. Learns new technologies and skills quickly Possesses project management experience Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Excellent analytical skills Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. Compensation/Other Considerations Base salary and bonus as appropriate Health, 401k and other benefits Limited travel 3 years of experience working in IT
