This role performs systems integration and support of
Microsoft Cloud Services:
Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, MS Teams, Azure Active Directory, Intune MDM, and Azure Application and Server Hosting. The Cloud and Application Engineer is responsible for supporting and deploying cloud-based IT solutions, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and SaaS applications. This role provides Tier II/III support for escalated service desk issues and manages cloud transformation projects for managed IT services clients. The engineer ensures optimal cloud performance, security, and compliance for client environments. Therefore, candidates should also have a demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision and possess a high level of customer service skill. Excellent written and oral communication skills are also crucial, as well as being able to work with technical, non-technical, or executive staff. Technical Support & Issue Resolution Deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Entra. Provide escalated support for cloud-related issues, ensuring SLA compliance. Lead cloud migration projects, including email migrations, virtual desktops, and identity management. Assist with automation and scripting (PowerShell) to streamline cloud administration. Maintain detailed documentation and client IT roadmaps. Provide training and guidance to clients on cloud solutions. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours cloud support. Customer Communication & Satisfaction Ensure regular client updates on ticket status, estimated resolution time, and next steps. Provide a professional and customer-focused experience during all interactions. Document, record, and maintain troubleshooting details and resolutions in the internal ticketing system. Process & Documentation Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date client system documentation. Open and manage support tickets with third-party vendors and telecom providers as required. Contribute to the company's knowledge base by creating and updating internal documentation. Additional Responsibilities Participate in required vendor training and certification programs. Identify and report potential service expansion or product sales opportunities to the sales team. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor when interacting with clients and coworkers.REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong expertise in Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Azure services. Experience with Azure Active Directory, Intune, and security configurations. Working knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V). Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls). Experience with PowerShell scripting. Basic understanding of networking protocols (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP) and firewall security. Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work self-directed, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with little supervision Must possess a valid driver's LicenseEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
4+ years of experience in cloud engineering, IT system administration, or Microsoft 365/Azure support with a college degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; or 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering or Microsoft 365/Azure support in a professional setting. Preference will be given to candidates with Industry certification such as MCP, MCSE, VCP, etc.Job Type:
