Job Description

Systems Engineer - Defense Electronics $120k-$150k + Unrivalled Progression Opportunities + Medical + Prescription Coverage + Dental + Vision, Life insurance + PTO Franklin, North Carolina (commutable from: Waynesville, Union, Prentiss, Burnington, Elijay) Are you an experienced ATE, Test, or Systems Engineer with a background in radar, RF, avionics, or defense electronics looking for a hands-on role where you can design, integrate, troubleshoot, and sustain advanced test systems? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing defense electronics business supporting radar, RF, avionics, and military electronic systems. You'll work across hardware, software, instrumentation, and system interfaces, playing a key role in developing new automated test capabilities while supporting production, depot repair, and legacy system sustainment. This is not a paper-based engineering role. You'll be hands-on with ATE architecture, COTS instrumentation, automated test software, system bring-up, fault isolation, calibration, and troubleshooting, working across multiple technically challenging programs. You will be responsible for developing ATE architectures, integrating test instrumentation, supporting automated test software, troubleshooting deployed systems, and driving improvements across active defense programs. This role would suit an ATE Engineer, Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Electronics Engineer with strong experience in automated test, RF/radar systems, or defense electronics.
The Role:
Develop and integrate ATE systems for radar, RF, avionics, and electronic assemblies Integrate instrumentation and support automated testing using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C#, or similar Troubleshoot hardware, software, and system interfaces across new and legacy test systems Support depot repair, production testing, verification, obsolescence mitigation, and system sustainment
The Candidate:
