Job Description
Systems EngineerWork Directly with Clients. Solve Complex IT Challenges. Make an Impact. Our client is seeking a Systems Engineer to support and enhance technology environments for a diverse portfolio of businesses. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys working directly with clients, building trusted relationships, and solving complex infrastructure challenges both remotely and onsite. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in Windows Server administration, networking, virtualization, cloud technologies, and customer support. This role requires regular travel to client locations, making it perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, consulting, and face-to-face interaction. Responsibilities + Design and implement infrastructure solutions in collaboration with technical and business stakeholders. + Provide Tier II and Tier III support for end-user and infrastructure-related issues. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving: + Windows workstations and laptops + Server environments + Active Directory, DNS , and DHCP + Network and VPN connectivity + Cloud platforms and Microsoft 365 environments + Build, deploy, and maintain Windows Server environments. + Configure, support, and optimize Azure and AWS cloud environments. + Design and support virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V. + Deploy and maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, wireless solutions, and VPN technologies. + Support VoIP phone systems and storage solutions. + Visit client sites to perform implementations, upgrades, assessments, troubleshooting, and project work. + Maintain accurate technical documentation and client records. + Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing exceptional customer service and guidance. + Manage priorities, project timelines, and client expectations. + Participate in an on-call support rotation. QualificationsRequired Experience + 5+ years of IT infrastructure and systems administration experience. + 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience. + Experience supporting small-to-medium business environments. + Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. + Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client locations as needed. Preferred Experience + Previous MSP , consulting, or client-facing technical experience. + Experience managing multiple customer environments simultaneously.
