Cloud Engineer

job summary:

• Exposure to monitoring, logging, or observability tools such as Datadog or Splunk is a plus, with interest in learning operational best practices location: Merrimack, New Hampshire job type: Contract salary: $76 - 75 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities:
• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, tools, and engineering practices to support shared platforms and internal customers
• Hands-on experience with or exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines (such as Jenkins), with an interest in improving automated build and deployment workflows
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and security fundamentals, including perimeter security and DMZ environments, or a strong desire to learn in this area
• Experience contributing to service-based architectures, such as microservices, containerized applications, and/or serverless technologies, in a team environment
• Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative development environments with guidance from more senior engineers qualifications:
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, or experience developing and running applications in cloud environments (preferred)
• Exposure to traffic routing, CDN, or edge technologies (such as Akamai) is a plus
