Job Description
- Assist NYNJ Link Management with O&M activities associated with the sophisticated Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) on the bridge. Perform periodic inspections, maintenance, diagnosis, and remediation of the ITS. Hands on field work will be required from time to time. This includes working in live traffic and at heights.
- Coordinate ITS 3rd parties regarding repair activities on the ITS, as required.
- Become a certified FAA drone pilot. Coordinate with the FAA to fly a drone in Class 3 airspace and perform periodic visual inspections of the bridge. Upload data onto Microsoft SharePoint and/or drone inspection software.
- Maintain a customized Microsoft SharePoint system and provide updates and enhancements as required. Ensure all Project Documents are captured, categorized and stored effectively in Microsoft SharePoint to allow certain employees to access files and data.
- Maintain a customized IBM Maintenance and Management System (MMS). The system shall be capable of tracking and recording all operational work activities, creating work-orders, generating preventative maintenance and routine inspection orders, and producing reports on all the Bridge Elements. Act as the system administrator and create/reset passwords for all staff.
- Maintain a thorough and comprehensive contract compliance framework and system. The compliance framework will be subject to frequent audits, both internally and externally.
- Provide Information Technology and network support for NYNJ Link.
- Use technical and engineering skills to problem solve and assist other NYNJ Link staff.
- Availability to work 24/7 to fulfill the requirements of the Company.
- Ability to understand and satisfy various stakeholder needs related to O&M activities.
- Ability to work safely to eliminate workplace injuries and patron safety risks.
- Ability to identify O&M issues throughout the Project and work to eliminate non-conformances. Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to work in inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to learn and perform all essential summer and winter O&M activities.
