Job DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Logistic Systems (LS) team. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to real-world system design, automation, and project coordination activities while supporting improvements to our day-to-day engineering functions.
The selected candidate will support initiatives related to systems engineering, electrical/controls documentation, software coordination, and internal tool development. This role offers meaningful project involvement, technical learning opportunities, and the potential for full-time employment upon graduation.
Assist with electrical and controls documentation such as I/O lists, control narratives, and revision logs.
Support basic feasibility studies, conceptual layouts, and system design tasks.
Tools, Trackers & Process ImprovementHelp develop and improve internal tools such as costing models, Excel-based trackers, scheduling tools, and dashboards.
Maintain engineering templates, documentation standards, and reporting tools.
Identify opportunities to streamline engineering workflows and documentation processes.
Project Coordination & Scheduling SupportAssist with gathering and organizing project requirements.
Support schedule updates related to engineering, testing, and integration milestones.
Help track deliverables, action items, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with Systems, Software/Controls, and Project Management teams as needed.
Testing & Integration ExposureSupport preparation for system testing and commissioning activities.
Assist with documentation and tracking of integration milestones.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required; VBA a plus).Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar) preferred.
Basic understanding of automation, PLCs, or control systems is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with a desire to learn in a fast-paced technical environment.

Hourly Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hourThe posted hourly rate reflects the compensation the company reasonably expects to offer for this position. QualificationsCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Controls, or Software Engineering.Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required; VBA a plus).Familiarity with 2D/3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidEdge, or similar) preferred.
