Trading Architect - Low Latency Execution Systems A leading global financial technology and digital asset organization is seeking a hands-on Trading Architect to help design and build the next generation of institutional trading infrastructure. This role sits within a high-impact architecture team focused on developing scalable, resilient, and ultra-low latency trading platforms supporting digital asset markets. The Opportunity This is a senior-level architecture and engineering position where you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of a modern trading platform. You will work closely with engineering leadership and architecture teams to design highly performant systems powering execution algorithms, smart order routing, market connectivity, and real-time trading infrastructure. Responsibilities Architect and develop low latency trading systems and execution platforms Design scalable solutions for: Execution algorithms Smart Order Routing (SOR) Market data platforms Exchange connectivity Real-time messaging services Translate business and technical requirements into scalable service designs Drive architecture decisions across distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure Optimize trading applications for latency, throughput, and resiliency Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and product teams in an agile environment Mentor engineers and contribute to technical leadership initiatives Required Qualifications 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience Strong background designing ultra-low latency trading systems Expertise building trading infrastructure, market data systems, or exchange connectivity platforms Advanced modern Java development experience, including zero-GC patterns Deep understanding of concurrency and performance optimization Experience with kernel bypass technologies such as Solarflare OpenOnload Strong knowledge of low latency messaging technologies such as Aeron, Solace, or 29West Experience with FIX and WebSocket protocols Strong understanding of distributed systems and resilient messaging architectures Experience designing APIs, asynchronous services, and micro service-based platforms Working knowledge of relational and time-series databases Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills Preferred Experience Experience within electronic trading, capital markets, or digital assets Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and scalable infrastructure design Passion for cryptocurrency and emerging financial technologies Prior experience mentoring engineers and leading architecture initiatives What's Offered Competitive compensation package including bonus potential Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits Retirement and long-term financial planning programs Generous PTO and parental leave offerings Tuition reimbursement and ongoing learning resources Opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital asset and trading technology Collaborative engineering culture with strong technical ownership Apply Now
