Responsibilities Platform Architecture & Core Ownership:
Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise cloud data engineering platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow) to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.Automation & Infrastructure-as-Code:
Develop and maintain automation scripts, IaC, and CI/CD workflows using Python to streamline environment provisioning, platform deployments, and proactive system monitoring.Governance, Security & Cost Control:
Manage user access (RBAC), enforce data security policies, and monitor platform utilization and cloud costs to maintain platform efficiency and compliance.Stakeholder Technical Liaison:
Serve as a technical bridge between core IT/security teams and data engineering end-users, gathering platform requirements, conducting technical workshops, and establishing standardized operating procedures.Platform Reliability & Support:
Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for complex platform-related outages, performance bottlenecks, and configuration issues, collaborating directly with vendors to ensure strict SLA compliance. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative field. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience managing, configuring, and supporting enterprise cloud data platforms and services (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS/GCP data services). Preferred Qualifications Strong proficiency in writing automated deployment scripts in Python, writing complex SQL queries, and utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code or CI/CD tools (e.g., Terraform, GitHub Actions). Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry supporting enterprise-scale data teams. Hands-on experience with modern workload orchestration and data transformation tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, dbt, Cloud Composer). Industry technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Engineer, GCP Professional Data Engineer, Snowflake SnowPro Core). Strong alignment with Colgate's LIFT principles—demonstrating continuous learning, innovative problem-solving, and collaborative cross-functional technical communication. Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $86,000.00- $121,000.
