$80/hour (W2) Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer•Databricks (SaaS on AWS) for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York City, NY . The ideal candidate will help engineer, scale, and optimize a Databricks-based data platform supporting enterprise analytics and AI/ML workloads within a regulated cloud environment. Candidates must be local to the NYC area and possess strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Terraform, and AWS cloud infrastructure . Responsibilities Engineer and scale a Databricks (SaaS on AWS) platform supporting enterprise analytics and AI/ML workloads Design and automate secure AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) Build and optimize production data workflows in Databricks Support platform performance, scalability, and reliability using AWS cloud-native database technologies Implement DevSecOps best practices across CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments Maintain strong security and governance practices within a regulated financial services environment Required Skills 10+ years of experience in data platform engineering, cloud data engineering, or data infrastructure roles Strong hands-on experience with Databricks (SaaS on AWS) in production environments Deep experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code) for AWS infrastructure provisioning Strong expertise with AWS cloud-native databases such as Aurora, RDS, Redshift , or similar Strong knowledge of AWS fundamentals including S3, IAM, networking, and cloud security architecture Preferred Skills Experience working in regulated enterprise environments , particularly financial services
