Systems Engineer I

Assured Information Security has an opening for a Systems Engineer I to join our SecureView® team. This position will assist with the support of SecureView® Testing and System engineering. This is an onsite position located at our headquarters in Rome, NY and requires an active secret clearance. •Please note this position is contingent upon contract award•

What You'll Do:

Execute test procedures across functional and security requirements Participate in system testing Assist with Track bugs/issues/improvements Debug, and test different software solutions with oversight from senior technical staff Assist with the software development for both Linux and Windows environments Assist in the development of user manuals and training materials Assist in providing creative solutions to advance software performance from design and development of novel capabilities Investigate and help provide solutions to technical issues, both individually and as a contributing team member Contribute to an agile environment with an integrated team of developers, testers, and investigators Assist with the implementation of solutions with the guidance of senior members of the development group Utilize test automation frameworks Support maintenance to the test infrastructure Contribute to status reports, able to accurately communicate status to lead

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline and 0-1 years experience in quality/test engineering, system engineering, or networking installation and administration or equivalent education and experience. Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows Knowledge of networking appliances Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Experience/Skillset:

IT Infrastructure Knowledge Networking Knowledge & Troubleshooting Penetration Testing Test Case Management, Design & Execution Bug/Issue tracking software (Jira) Version control software (git/bitbucket)

Veteran US Salary Range:

$78,000 - $123,000 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
