Job Summary The Sr Systems Engineer designs, enhances, and maintains the infrastructure required to support application development and deployment, providing a highly available and stable environment. Reporting to the Sr Manager of IT Operations, this role contributes to the overall engineering, design, build, and high-level support of existing and new infrastructure systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Implement, support, and maintain BrightView's infrastructure, both physical and virtual, across multiple data centers Document changes to production, development, testing, etc.… environments with a clear plan for business communication, implementation, backout and escalation. Participation in recurring management board meetings to discuss and obtain approval for changes from both IT peers and business stakeholders Manage and function as primary owner of BrightView's enterprise application and infrastructure monitoring solution. Serve in a critical capacity on BrightView IT Security's Incident Response Team, responding, triaging, and mitigating risks to BrightView's network and data systems. Includes after-hours support as needed. Oversee the Administration of BrightView's directory services (Windows Active Directory, Federation/ SSO, Azure AD, etc.) Assist in design, deployment, configuration, and administration of corporate systems both on-prem and in BrightView's hybrid cloud ecosystem. Provide tier 3, SME level support for production system and application issues. (These work efforts may extend beyond the course of the standard work schedule.) Develop and maintain living technical documentation and provide cross-training to teammates and end users for new systems. Address potential security breaches and phishing attempts in a timely manner. Acknowledge monitoring alerts and resolve outages in a timely manner, engaging additional resources as needed. Address incidents assigned via BrightView's ticketing system meeting or exceeding our SLAs. Identify process improvements and cost savings where applicable.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 10 years enterprise IT experience. 8-10+ years' experience in IT infrastructure design and architecture across multiple distributed computing technologies including server, network, and storage technologies. Windows Server and Applications Administration in a Windows Server environment. PowerShell, Active Directory, and Exchange experience required. 5 years' Experience with VMWare administration and scaling. 5 years' experience scripting and automating administrative tasks. 3 years' experience administering Azure /Cloud Platforms 3 years' experience managing monitoring systems Strong working knowledge of enterprise security models, tools, and processes. Knowledge of backup systems and technique Knowledge of Pure Storage and Commvault a plus. Knowledge of terminal services (RemoteApp, Citrix) and application virtualization a plus.

Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of time Operates in an office environment and requires in-person presence Ability to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occur Ability to lift 20 lbs.
