Full-Time, 12 months, Salaried, Exempt Summary The Software & Application Integration and Support Specialist will support all K-12 School Departments with campus applications, software, and information systems integrations. Job Responsibilities This list is intended to be illustrative rather than complete and serves to show major duties and responsibilities and does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position. The employee will be required to perform other duties requested by the supervisor and/or school administrator. Perform daily software and application maintenance support. Provide daily help desk support for software and application related issues affecting students, parents, and staff. Escalate and resolve complex end user issues by working with 3rd party software vendors technical support. Work closely with other IT Department members to facilitate and provide staff support and training. Participate in and/or lead the planning and implementation of software integration projects. Provide technical knowledge and experience when working with new applications/3rd party vendors to integrate into the existing application environment. Assist with identifying opportunities to enhance or improve business processes via integration, or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes. Design, develop, and deploy software integration improvements and/or solutions within the organization. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software/system integration issues. Works closely with the PowerSchool Administrator & Network Administrator to ensure seamless integration between our SIS and associated programs. Continually develop skills in the integration technologies as it pertains to the existing application environment. Provides software support to improve the integration of technology for curriculum-based, classroom and other related programs. Collaborates with the Curriculum Department, Student Services Department, Human Resources Department, and Enrollment Department to help roster, develop, and manage online processes, programs and accounts. Administers data validation routines and coordinates the reconciliation of any data anomalies. Assists with the creation and maintenance of technology training materials. Maintains broad knowledge of school systems, data compliance requirements, best practices, and processes/procedures regarding educational software. Enforces the CCS Student Code of Conduct, the CCS Uniform Code, and the CCS Computer Usage Code. Promotes good citizenship through actions as a role model. Conducts himself or herself according to professional, ethical principles that reflect favorably upon the individual and the school. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality pertaining to school and students' information, progress, and records. Assumes other responsibilities assigned by supervisor and/or school administrator. Abides by the CCS Employee Manual, CCS policies and procedures, and all current PA Public School expectations. Qualifications A four-year college degree or equivalent experience in education, curriculum, or software support role. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite. Experience with educational/curriculum driven software, including PowerSchool SIS, PowerSchool Registration, DocuWare, LinkIt, Follett, IEP Writer, Magnus Health, School Messenger, Clever, SchoolPass, IXL etc. Excellent understanding of different operating systems and programming languages, as well as extensive experience working with databases and network tools. Ability to prioritize and adhere to deadlines. Ability to collect and analyze data, problem-solve, and make decisions. Flexible and adaptable personality. Attention to detail when accomplishing a task through concern for all areas involved. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Required Clearances include Criminal Background Clearance (Act 34), Child Abuse Clearance (Act 151), and FBI Fingerprint Clearance (Act 114), all dated within one year of receipt. Meets criteria for employment in a PA Public School.
