Hybrid (2 3 days onsite in West Sacramento, CA) Background Check Required Position Summary We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support cloud modernization initiatives, application development, infrastructure automation, and cloud operations within a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong AWS expertise, DevOps experience, and a proven track record of building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud solutions. Required Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience including:
EC2 S3 AWS
Lambda IAM 3+ years of experience with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines. 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation). 3+ years of experience developing applications using Python, Node.js, or C#. 3+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration. 3+ years of experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases: MySQL PostgreSQL MongoDB DynamoDB 3+ years of experience with: Encryption standards AWS Secrets Manage HashiCorp Vault HIPAA, GDPR, and SOC2 compliance frameworks. Preferred Qualifications AWS Well-Architected Framework experience. AWS cloud migration and modernization experience. AWS cost optimization expertise.
Experience with:
AWS Config Security Hub CloudWatch CloudTrail Splunk Bash or PowerShell scripting. AI/ML services such as SageMaker. Multi-cloud experience. Responsibilities Design and develop cloud-native applications on AWS. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub. Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation. Develop REST APIs and cloud-based applications. Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker. Design and maintain SQL/NoSQL databases. Implement cloud security controls and compliance standards. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure. Participate in cloud modernization initiatives. Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials. Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and technical teams
