Azure Cloud Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you will design, deploy, and operate scalable Azure cloud infrastructure while upholding security and compliance. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate cloud requirements into reliable, automated solutions and lead PoC efforts to evaluate new technologies. You will enable efficient delivery through IaC, CI/CD, and automation, ensuring production environments are secure, observable, and resilient. This position offers impact across IT policy, tooling, and infrastructure, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.

• Develop and maintain scalable Azure cloud infrastructure and automation tooling
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate cloud requirements into effective solutions
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and performance bottlenecks
• Recommend cloud and AI-based solutions and document outcomes for technical and non-technical audiences
• Implement Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices
• Coordinate with application owners and cloud team to ensure standards, security, and compliance
• Manage deployments across Production and non-Production environments with logging and monitoring
• Support on-call duties and participate in team activities like code reviews and design collaborations
• Investigate current cloud usage, identify gaps, and propose optimizations
• Provide 24/7/365 support as required for planned and unplanned maintenance Tasks
• 10+ years of infrastructure deployment and management in IT environments
• 5+ years Azure cloud infrastructure deployments using IaC
• Experience with public cloud IaaS and PaaS, Terraform
• 4+ years GitHub, GitHub Actions; automated cloud infrastructure across environments; scripting and automation; Azure CLI
• 3+ years CI/CD pipelines; YAML for GitHub Actions; troubleshooting Azure cloud
• 1+ year Kubernetes-based platforms; AI platforms on Azure
• Experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS services (VMs, Storage, Networking, App Services, SQL, Functions, Data Factory)
• Knowledge of identity management, security controls, compliance and encryption
• Experience explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences
• Linux and Windows server experience; Jira/Confluence/ServiceNow; PowerShell; Octopus Deploy and Ansible preferred Key requirements
