Overview:
Overview The AI Business Process Engineering Architect will lead large-scale business process transformation initiatives across the organization, with a strong focus on operational excellence in clinical operations, care management, and revenue cycle. This role centers on identifying opportunities for automation and AI enablement, and partnering with technical teams to bring those solutions to life. The ideal candidate brings deep healthcare operational expertise and understands how clinical and administrative workflows function end-to-end. While exposure to AI, automation, and analytics is beneficial, the priority is someone who can re-engineer processes, drive adoption, and ensure AI-enabled solutions fit real-world workflows. The Architect will act as a key leader, collaborating with senior stakeholders to design and implement innovative, scalable, and efficient business solutions that deliver measurable impact. This role sits at the intersection of technology, process, and transformation, bridging what AI Engineers build, what Enterprise Engineers enable, and how the business operates day-to-day. Key Responsibilities Domain Partnership & Strategy Partner with Enterprise Engineers and operational leaders to align process redesign with system architecture, data flow, and integration needs. Work with clinical, care coordination, revenue cycle, and other business teams to understand current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. Business Process Transformation Assess and map current-state processes and design future-state workflows that support AI and automation integration. Conduct process evaluations to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization and optimization. Technology Integration & Governance Collaborate with AI and automation teams to ensure solutions fit real-world workflows and deliver business value. Support governance efforts to promote responsible AI adoption, compliance, and risk mitigation. Performance Monitoring & Optimization Define measurable success metrics such as improved cycle time, accuracy, decision speed, or cost efficiency. Monitor implemented workflows and provide recommendations for continuous improvement. Change Management & Adoption Support change management initiatives to help operational teams adopt new processes. Ensure communication, training, and transition support are built into transformational initiatives. Technical Exposure (Not Hands-On) Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, workflow automation, RPA, NLP, data flows, and generative AI tools. Ability to translate operational needs into solution requirements for technical teams Education Bachelor's or master's in industrial engineering, Business Process Management, Computer Science, or related field. (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Lean Six Sigma, Process Re-engineering, or AI-for-Leaders credentials. (Preferred) Experience Eight (8+) years of experience in business process engineering, workflow redesign, or transformation roles within complex organizational settings. required Background working with healthcare workflows such as clinical operations, care coordination, access management, or revenue cycle (preferred). Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and partnering with operational leaders to understand current processes and define future-state workflows. Exposure to AI, automation, analytics, or digital transformation projects, with the ability to translate operational needs into solution requirements. Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and documenting workflows using structured methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Experience supporting change management and adoption for redesigned processes. Demonstrated ability to measure and communicate process improvement outcomes (cycle time, accuracy, efficiency, or productivity).
