Job Description

Description EDI Engineer We are seeking an experienced EDI Engineer to join a collaborative and fast-paced technology team supporting modernization efforts across enterprise integrations and EDI platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across multiple technologies, and helping bridge legacy systems with modern integration solutions. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who thrives in smaller team environments where adaptability, ownership, and initiative are critical. What You'll Be Doing + Support and enhance existing EDI processes and integrations + Work heavily within SQL procedures, data transformations, and backend processing logic + Assist with modernization efforts involving legacy integration platforms and cloud-based technologies + Help migrate and improve integrations from BizTalk toward MuleSoft and newer integration approaches + Create scripts and automation solutions using Python + Troubleshoot integration and data flow issues across multiple systems + Work with business teams and external partners to onboard and improve EDI workflows + Help integrate platforms that are not traditionally EDI-friendly + Collaborate within a small team environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential What We're Looking For + Strong SQL experience, including stored procedures, troubleshooting, and data processing + Experience using Python for scripting, automation, or integration support + Well-rounded EDI background with experience supporting both legacy and modern integration environments + Experience with EDI migrations, platform modernization, or integration transformations + Ability to independently troubleshoot issues and drive solutions forward + Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities + Strong communication and collaboration skills + "Get it done" mentality with a proactive approach to problem solving Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills + MuleSoft experience + BizTalk experience + Cloud migration exposure + API integration experience + Experience modernizing legacy systems and workflows + FTP/SFTP integration experience Additional Details + Hybrid work environment for candidates located within commuting distance + Contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential + Standard business hours + Targeting a near-term start date + Degree preferred, but equivalent hands-on experience will absolutely be considered + Excellent opportunity to make a direct impact within a highly visible team and modernization initiative Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in EDI, data integration, or a closely related engineering role
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, troubleshooting, and data processing
  • Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, or integration support activities
  • Background in ETL, data transformation, and cross-system integration design
  • Ability to diagnose technical issues independently and implement practical solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Experience with BizTalk, MuleSoft, or similar integration platforms is highly valued Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
