JOB DUTIES
Develop embedded firmware for both bare‑metal and RTOS‑based systems, including low‑level drivers, hardware abstraction layers, control algorithms, and application‑level functionality. Collaborate closely with hardware engineering on system design, board bring‑up, schematic/PCB reviews, electrical debugging, and integrated system testing. Design and implement safety‑critical features to satisfy applicable regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60730) and support certification activities. Work with project management and product management to refine requirements, provide estimates, track schedules, and communicate development progress. Prototype new concepts to assess feasibility and guide design decisions early in the product lifecycle. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture descriptions, design notes, test plans, certification artifacts, and engineering reports. Support system integration and verification, troubleshooting issues across firmware, hardware, and connected components.
YOU MUST HAVE
3+ years of experience in embedded systems development, debugging, and testing Strong embedded C/C++ proficiency Familiarity with developing firmware that interacts with AI/ML pipelines, both on‑device and through cloud connectivity. Experience with bare‑metal systems and/or RTOS‑based designs (FreeRTOS, internal schedulers, embedded Linux, etc.) Experience with electronic test equipment and embedded debug and test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hardware debuggers, etc.) Deep understanding of microcontroller architectures, peripheral subsystems, and low‑level interface design across multiple MCU families. Experience with communication protocols such as Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Zigbee, Z‑Wave, Thread, Matter, HomeKit, etc. Understanding of cybersecurity considerations and secure firmware development practices
