The opportunity

The Boeing MQ28 - Ghost Bat is a globally-significant program that will deliver a disruptive advantage to support Defence operational capabilities. Developed in partnership with the Royal Australian Air Force, it is the first military combat aircraft to be designed, manufactured and assembled in Australia in 50 years.

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are seeking an experienced Mission Systems Engineer to support the design, development integration and test of new capabilities within the MQ-28 Ghost Bat.

As a Systems Engineer you will apply your experience to a broad range of activities being undertaken by the Analysis Integration and Test team to enhance the MQ-28 platform.

The role is based in Brisbane.

As an experienced Systems Engineer you will:

Support and develop requirements for the MQ-28 Mission System (DOORS experience).

Support and develop of design solutions to meet the capability objectives and requirements of the MQ-28 Mission System.

Manage and define Mission System interfaces.

Support and develop of engineering solutions for integrated avionics and

COTS/MOTS

equipment.

Support and develop of verification requirements, test plans, procedures and reports.

Coordinate, plan and conduct integration and formal verification testing of the MQ-28 Mission System.

Support ground and flight test operations for the MQ-28 Mission System.

Support and develop of engineering documentation (Specifications, Design Documents, Interface Definitions, Test Procedures etc.

Provide input to Mission System Key Technical Performance Measures

To be considered for the role you will have:

Minimum of 3 years experience in complex technical development and integration projects

Hold Tertiary qualifications in either Aerospace, Avionics, or Mechatronics, that satisfies the requirements for membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust) or equivalent technical experience in a Systems Engineering discipline.

Demonstrated experience in systems and software development lifecycle (essential).

Demonstrated experience in avionics system level testing in a laboratory and ground test environments (desirable)

Experience with aircraft avionics and UAV systems (desirable).

Familiarity with engineering change processes.

Experience with Agile delivery methodologies (highly regarded)

Experience with Autonomous Systems projects (highly regarded)

Experience with aerospace and / or Defence projects (highly regarded.)

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
