We Are Seeking a 7-9 Years of Experience with Openshift Container Platform Engineer To Design, Operate, And Support Production Openshift Clusters and Associated Cloud Native Services This Role Requires Hands on Experience with Red Hat Openshift, Kubernetes Operations, CI/CD Automation, And AWS Managed Relational Databases (Postgresql, Aurora, Mariadb). The Engineer Will Independently Resolve Complex Platform and Application Issues, Contribute to Automation and Standards, and act as a Technical Escalation Point for Junior Engineers While Collaborating Closely with Application, SRE, Security, And Cloud Teams. Core Responsibilities Openshift Platform Engineering (Mid Level Ownership) Operate And Support Production Openshift Clusters (On Prem And AWS Hosted) Troubleshoot Complex Kubernetes Issues Perform Openshift Upgrades, Patching, And Certificate Rotations Support ACM Managed Clusters And Policy Enforcement CI/CD, Gitops & Automation Implement And Maintain CI/CD Pipelines For Openshift Based Workloads Support Gitops Style Deployments Using Helm, Git Workflows Automate Recurring Platform Tasks Using Bash/Shell/YAML Templates Improve Reliability Through Automated Health Checks, Deployment Validations, Rollback Strategies AWS Database Support (Mid Level - Non DBA) RDS Postgresql, Aurora & Mariadb Provide Hands On Operational Support For Amazon RDS Postgresql, Amazon Aurora (Postgresql/Mysql Compatible), Amazon Mariadb Diagnose And Resolve Application To Database Issues, Including Connection Pool Exhaustion, Authentication Failures, Network And Security Group Misconfigurations Analyze Cloudwatch Metrics To Identify Performance Bottlenecks, Resource Saturation, Replication Lag Database Operations & Reliability Manage And Validate Automated Backups And Snapshots, Multi AZ Failover Behaviour, Read Replica Health Support Non Prod Restore Testing And Disaster Recovery Validation Assist With Controlled Maintenance Events And Engine Upgrades (Execution Under Change Processes) Performance & Tuning Awareness Identify Performance Issues Caused By Inefficient Queries, Application Connection Patterns, Improper Parameter Settings Collaborate With DBA Teams Using Logs, Metrics, Query Statistics (Read Only Analysis) Security, Networking & Compliance Enforce Kubernetes And AWS Security Best Practices, Secrets Management, Network Isolation, TLS And Certificate Handling Implement Least Privilege Access Using Kubernetes

  • Act As L2/L3 Escalation For Openshift Platform Incidents, AWS Database Related Production Issues
  • Participate In On Call Rotations, Major Incident Bridges
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis And Implement Preventive Fixes, Create And Maintain Runbooks, Troubleshooting Guides, Operational Documentation Mentorship & Collaboration Provide Technical Guidance To Junior Engineers Review Changes For Platform Standards And Best Practices Collaborate With Application Teams, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking And Security Teams Required Technical Skillsets (Mid Level) Openshift & Kubernetes Strong Hands on Experience With Red Hat Openshift (OCP), Kubernetes Primitives And Controllers Deep Understanding Of Scheduling, Resource Management, And Autoscaling, Cluster Networking And Ingress Routing Experience With Multi Cluster Operations (ACM Preferred) AWS & Cloud Infrastructure Solid Experience With AWS Services Including EC2, VPC, Security Groups, IAM (Roles, Policies), Cloudwatch And Logging Practical Understanding Of Hybrid Cloud Connectivity AWS Databases (Required) Production Experience Supporting RDS Postgresql, Aurora, Mariadb Ability To Independently Troubleshoot Performance Issues, Failovers, Connectivity Problems Understanding Of Backup/Restore Strategies, Multi AZ Vs Read Replicas, Parameter Group Impact What are The Top 3 Skills Required For This Role?
