This is hybrid Monday and Friday remote, Tuesday-Thursday onsite role. 6-month contract with either a conversion to full time employment or extensions every 6 months, long-term opportunity.

This role will work directly with senior engineering leadership to design and implement AI-driven platform architecture that enhances development lifecycle efficiency, automation, and scalability. This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on building and optimizing end-to-end
CI/CD/CT
pipelines , integrating modern AI tooling, and driving engineering productivity through automation and intelligent systems. Key Responsibilities Partner directly with senior engineering leadership to design and evolve platform architecture Build and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions Develop and maintain automated release management processes , including production deployment pipelines Leverage AI tools and agent-based automation (e.g., Claude, Codex, AI-assisted workflows) to improve engineering efficiency Implement Jira and GitHub integrations for automated workflows and traceability Design and maintain build systems using JVM ecosystem tools (Gradle, Maven) Drive automation of code reviews, GitHub bots, and pipeline governance Incorporate cybersecurity practices including automated vulnerability scanning and secret detection Enable engineering productivity measurement through DORA metrics and other KPIs Support cloud-native platform development including Kubernetes, buildpacks, and cloud pipelines Act as a subject matter expert on platform engineering best practices, automation, and scalability Required Qualifications 7+ years of enterprise-level experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE Strong hands-on experience with: CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Build tools (Gradle, Maven) Version control & integrations (GitHub, Jira) Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end pipeline automation Experience with release management and deployment automation Exposure to or hands-on experience with AI-driven development tools / agent-based automation Strong understanding of cloud platforms and containerization (Kubernetes) Experience implementing security practices in pipelines (SAST, secret scanning, vulnerability management) Preferred Qualifications Experience with AI agent orchestration and automation frameworks Familiarity with engineering productivity metrics (DORA) Experience building internal developer platforms at scale Strong background in highly regulated enterprise environments (financial services a plus) Why Join Direct exposure to VP/Principal-level engineering leadership Opportunity to lead AI-driven transformation of enterprise platforms High-impact initiative with long-term roadmap Strong potential for extension and full-time conversion Work on cutting-edge DevOps + AI integration at scale Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Sunrise, FL.
