Job Description
Gertens Family of Businesses is looking for a detail-oriented, solutions-driven Power Platform Developer to join our Gertens IT Development Team onsite in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This hybrid role will design, build, and support Power Platform applications, automations, and reporting solutions that improve production operations, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decisions.
This position works closely with production teams, operations leaders, and IT to understand business needs and deliver scalable solutions across production planning, inventory, reporting, and related processes. This role is part of the IT Development Team and reports to the Business Applications Lead.

What Youll Do:
Design, build, test, and support applications using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and DataversePartner with production teams to understand business processes, pain points, and improvement opportunitiesDevelop solutions that support production planning, task tracking, inventory visibility, reporting, and operational workflowsCreate and maintain automated workflows to reduce manual processes and improve accuracyBuild user-friendly forms, views, dashboards, and reporting tools for production and leadership teamsSupport integrations between Power Platform solutions and other business systemsTroubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable fixesGather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into technical solutionsMaintain solution documentation, security roles, environments, and application lifecycle practicesTrain and support end users on Power Platform applications and process changesCollaborate with IT Development Team members on development standards, testing, deployment, and supportIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality, and visibility across production operationsWhat Youll Need:
Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered2+ years of experience developing solutions with Microsoft Power PlatformExperience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and/or other data sourcesPower BI reporting or dashboard development experience preferredUnderstanding of Power Platform best practices, including ALM, solution management, security, and environment strategyMicrosoft Power Platform certifications such as PL-900, PL-400, PL-200, preferredAbility to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate needs into practical technical solutionsStrong problem-solving skills with a passion for solving business problems through technology and automationStrong communication, organization, and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently while partnering with business users and IT Development Team membersFamiliarity with Microsoft 365 tools and business applicationsInterest in production, agriculture, or plants preferred!Physical & Schedule Requirements:
Ability to work onsite in an office environment in Inver Grove Heights, MN and visit surrounding production areas as needed. May also work from home when projects allow.
