How You ' ll Contribute Envestnet is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Platform to help shape and build scalable platform capabilities used across modern engineering teams. This role offers the opportunity to work with cloud technologies, reusable services, APIs, internal developer platforms, AI-enabled capabilities, modular AI components, and agentic coding workflows while influencing technical direction at enterprise scale. Defines and drives long-term technical strategy and architecture across multiple systems. Leads large-scale, high-impact initiatives that align with business objectives. Solves highly complex and ambiguous technical challenges with innovative solutions. Influences engineering standards, policies, and best practices across the organization. Acts as a key advisor to senior leadership on technology decisions. Mentors senior engineers and develops future technical leaders. What You ' ll Need to Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required. 10+ years of application, product, or platform engineering experience, including ownership of long-term technical strategy across multiple systems. Extensive experience defining architecture for scalable, reliable, high-performing enterprise systems and large-scale infrastructure initiatives. Strong background in platform engineering, cloud platforms, modern deployment models, reusable services, APIs, and internal developer or product platforms. Experience influencing engineering standards, technical policies, best practices, architecture governance, and organization-wide technology decisions. Proven ability to solve complex and ambiguous technical challenges and advise senior leadership on technical trade-offs. Experience evaluating and adopting emerging technologies to improve scalability, reliability, performance, productivity, and competitive advantage. The range listed represents a good-faith estimate of base salary compensation for this position and does not include incentive compensation, equity or benefits. Individual pay will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. This role is eligible for an additional incentive component as part of the total rewards package.
