Job Description
Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Windows Server Upgrade Engineer to support a large-scale migration effort involving Windows Server 2012 and 2016 environments. This individual will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring server upgrades through completion by year-end. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience with Windows Server administration, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to quickly resolve upgrade-related issues. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating with application teams when application-specific problems arise and remain actively engaged throughout the upgrade process to ensure a smooth transition. Prior experience leading or supporting Windows Server upgrade projects is required. Proven experience upgrading Windows Server 2012 and 2016 environments. Ability to independently manage and monitor server upgrades through completion (target: end of December). Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve upgrade-related issues and system hiccups. Experience identifying and escalating application-specific issues to the appropriate application teams. Hands-on, proactive mindset; able to stay engaged and "babysit" upgrades through the entire process. 5+ years of expertise in VEEAM backup and recovery solutions. 5+ years of experience with HPE hardware; 3+ years with Dell hardware. 3+ years of experience using Orion/NPM or similar monitoring platforms.Benefits
