Job Description

Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect SHINE Systems - United States Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect SHINE Systems is looking for a Senior Computer Systems Engineer / Architect to join our growing team supporting critical public health data modernization efforts. In this role, you will design and develop scalable data solutions leveraging Palantir Foundry to drive actionable insights for our government clients.
Note:
This position is remote only. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows within Palantir Foundry using Python, PySpark, TypeScript, and related technologies. Import, integrate, clean, standardize, and manage data from multiple structured and unstructured data sources while resolving data quality issues. Build and maintain reusable code, transformation logic, Ontologies, and operational workflows using Foundry Code Repositories and version control best practices. Configure and optimize dashboards, Workshop applications, and visualizations to deliver actionable insights and improve business operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business, functional, and technical requirements into scalable data solutions and platform capabilities. Participate in Agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, scrum ceremonies, Jira tracking, and collaboration with engineering and stakeholder teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Required Qualifications 4+ years of experience working in a professional technical environment. 1+ years of experience with Palantir Foundry and its applications, including Code Repository, Ontology Manager, and Workshop. Experience developing and maintaining data pipelines using Python and PySpark. Experience applying software engineering and data engineering principles in enterprise environments. Experience integrating, transforming, and managing large datasets from multiple data sources. Experience translating business and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions. Experience working in Agile delivery environments and tracking work using Jira or similar tools. Knowledge of fundamental programming principles, data structures, APIs, or web development concepts. Ability to work independently and take ownership to solve complex data challenges. Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Desired Qualifications Experience leveraging Palantir Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) for large language model (LLM) integration and AI-enabled workflows. Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience with R or other statistical programming languages. Experience with version control systems, including Git. Experience designing operational dashboards, workflow tools, or data-driven applications. Experience supporting CDC or public health domain clients. Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies. Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills. Palantir Foundry certifications (e.g., Data Engineer). Master's degree preferred.
Compensation & Pay Scale Salary Range:
$110,000 to $120,000
Determination:
The final salary offered will be based on the awarded contract funding and the selected candidate's experience, education, and geographic location.
