Senior Data Engineer - Data Platform (Healthcare) Overview We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build scalable, secure data platform solutions in a healthcare-focused environment. This role will drive data architecture, ensure compliance with data privacy standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data products. Responsibilities Design and implement Databricks-based data warehouses and lakehouse architectures Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines (Delta Live Tables, batch & streaming) Develop enterprise data models aligned to standards (e.g., FHIR, OMOP) Implement data governance, lineage, and quality frameworks Ensure data security best practices , including PHI/PII handling Develop client-facing data products with high performance and reliability Manage large-scale structured and unstructured datasets Optimize pipelines for performance, cost, and scalability Build infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) and cloud-native tools (AWS) Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver solutions Requirements 5+ years of experience in data engineering / data platforms Strong experience with Databricks and AWS Proficiency in SQL, Python (and/or Scala) and modern data tooling Experience with relational & NoSQL databases Knowledge of healthcare standards:
