RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Dynatrace Observability Engineer in New York, NY.

Overview:

This individual will be responsible for establishing comprehensive visibility across complex enterprise environments, including applications, infrastructure, databases, integrations, and third-party services. The role requires the ability to correlate performance data across multiple technology layers, identify service dependencies, troubleshoot complex issues, and translate technical findings into actionable operational insights. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with infrastructure, application, operations, and security teams to enhance observability capabilities, improve incident investigation, and establish proactive performance monitoring practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise monitoring, application performance management, or observability engineering
• 3+ years of hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and administering Dynatrace in enterprise environments
• Strong experience implementing application performance monitoring and distributed transaction tracing
• Experience configuring automated application and infrastructure dependency mapping
• Experience monitoring Windows and Linux infrastructure and virtualized environments
• Experience configuring dashboards, alerting, anomaly detection, and performance analytics
• Experience with digital experience monitoring, including Real User Monitoring and/or Synthetic Monitoring
• Strong expertise in application performance monitoring (APM), infrastructure observability, distributed transaction tracing, automated dependency discovery, digital experience monitoring, and AI-driven root cause analysis
• Demonstrated expertise with Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGate, Smartscape, and Davis AI
• Strong understanding of application architectures, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
• Working knowledge of Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and modern Dynatrace analytics capabilities
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues spanning multiple infrastructure and application layers The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
