Senior Platform Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Sr. Platform Engineer, you will own and evolve Fisher Investments' Azure data and analytics platform, guiding architecture and standards while supporting business data delivery teams. You will lead data warehouse and BI workloads, coordinate across enterprise teams, and ensure capacity and scalable solutions. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership to align data platforms with enterprise priorities. You'll contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented culture focused on secure, scalable data capabilities.

Compensation / Benefits

• Own data warehouse and analytics platform on Azure from implementation to ongoing operations
• Design and coordinate cloud data and application solutions across enterprise architecture, development, identity/access management, and network/data management
• Provide technical direction to database and application developers
• Develop cloud security, access control, and BI standards for business and technical teams
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting for data warehouse, BI platform, and related projects
• Monitor logs and identify issues to ensure smooth operations
• Conduct capacity planning and cloud cost optimization with management for informed decisions
• Provide after-hours system and application support
• Prepare multiple work plans and status reports for management
• Evaluate requests for alignment with solution architecture
• Guide evolution of the environment to support future capabilities Tasks
• Minimum 8 years of experience in software and data solutions for enterprise environments
• Experience with Azure data and analytics technologies (Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Power BI)
• Knowledge of infrastructure/operating systems, networking, and cloud administration; IaC experience (Terraform)
• DevOps experience (GitHub Actions, PowerShell)
• Application development experience using Microsoft/cloud technologies (SQL, Azure, C#, Python)
• Experience with Machine Learning and MLOps
• Experience with investment management systems and processes
• Experience with Agile methodologies in cloud/data/BI spaces
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent knowledge Key requirements
