Senior Platform Engineer

Experteer Overview In this Sr. Platform Engineer role, you design and administer Fisher Investments' Azure-based data and analytics platform to support enterprise reporting and data-driven decisions. You will guide architectural standards and collaborate with business and technology teams to enable scalable data delivery. The role blends hands-on development with technical leadership, shaping the evolution of our data ecosystem. You'll join a mission‑driven tech group focused on global growth and secure, reliable analytics.

Compensation / Benefits

• Own and operate the Azure-based data warehouse and analytics platform from implementation to ongoing optimization
• Evaluate requests for fit with data warehouse and analytics architecture and orchestrate cross-team data solutions
• Provide technical direction to database and application developers and align solutions with enterprise priorities
• Develop cloud security, access control, standards, and best practices for BI and data projects
• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and cost optimization for data platforms
• Support after-hours system and application needs and prepare project work plans and status updates
• Coordinate cloud data and application projects across enterprise architecture, IAM, networking, and data management Tasks
• 8+ years in software and data solutions for an enterprise environment with data warehousing and BI experience
• Experience with Azure data and analytics tech: Databricks, Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Power BI
• IaC and cloud administration knowledge, e.g., Terraform
• DevOps experience with GitHub Actions or PowerShell
• Application development using Microsoft/cloud tech (SQL, Azure, C#, Python)
• ML/MLOps experience and familiarity with investment management systems
• Agile methodologies in cloud/data/BI environments
• BS or equivalent in Computer Science or related field Key requirements
