Job Summary:

POSITION DUTIES

Manage and scale complex cloud-based infrastructures in production environments. Manage large-scale clusters and deployments, including advanced configuration, scaling, and troubleshooting. Ensure operation of platform, including databases, microservices, networking, compute, and IoT systems in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Improve system reliability and availability, including root cause analysis, post-mortem reviews, and uptime for applications. Implement and customize Grafana and Prometheus for complex monitoring scenarios. Develop backup/restore procedures and test strategies. Create custom dashboards, alerts, and automation. Write automation scripts, tools, and utilities for infrastructure management. Implement infrastructure cost optimization strategies, such as rightsizing, scaling policies, and reserved instances. Collaborate closely with development teams. Translate complex technical details into customer-friendly language for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Identify and resolve issues to improve customer experience.

REQUIREMENTS

High School/GED or foreign equivalent. Plus, five years of experience must include: 1) 5 years with Docker and container orchestration technologies. 2) 5 years implementing CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices, using Spinnaker or ArgoCD. 3) 5 years with Kubernetes. 4) 4 years with observability solutions PagerDuty, New Relic, VictoriaMetrics, or Dynatrace. 5) 3 years using Python programming. 6) 5 years using Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code solutions to provision and manage infrastructure across cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure). 7) 2 years with HashiCorp Vault for secure secrets management, encryption, and PKI lifecycle management. 8) 5 years in managing and optimizing each database PostgreSQL, MySQL, SingleStore, and ArangoDB within Kubernetes clusters.

LOCATION

Lake Oswego, Oregon. Candidate may work fully remote from anywhere in the United States.

$144,227.00 to $162,668.00 per Year
