Job Description
Summary We are seeking a Technical Product Owner with strong ServiceNow platform experience to support a large-scale enterprise ServiceNow environment. This individual will serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders, customers, and Platform Engineering teams, ensuring demand is properly evaluated, prioritized, and executed. The ideal candidate combines Product Ownership, demand management, and technical platform expertise. While hands-on development experience is not required, candidates must possess a strong understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, technical dependencies, implementation effort, and delivery processes to effectively support customers and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage the ServiceNow demand intake and prioritization process.
- Gather, analyze, and refine business requirements in partnership with Business Analysts and stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with ServiceNow Platform Engineering, developers, architects, and business leaders.
- Lead Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain product backlogs, roadmaps, and prioritization frameworks.
- Evaluate requests for business value, technical feasibility, effort, timelines, and dependencies.
- Assign and coordinate work across engineering resources to ensure successful delivery.
- Monitor incident queues and operational requests to ensure timely resolution and prioritization.
- Facilitate PI Planning and support strategic platform initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders by providing insight into technical effort, delivery timelines, and platform capabilities.
- Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and priorities to both technical and business audiences.
- Ensure alignment between customer expectations, engineering capacity, and organizational priorities. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Product Owner, Technical Product Owner, Demand Manager, Business Systems Analyst, or related experience.
- Strong experience working within the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience partnering directly with engineering, platform, or development teams.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, workflows, integrations, and platform functionality.
- Experience managing backlogs, competing priorities, and customer demand.
- Proven experience leading Agile and Scrum processes.
- Ability to understand technical estimates, project timelines, resource planning, and implementation effort.
- Excellent stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations or transformation programs.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, or Asset Management.
- Experience with PI Planning within a SAFe environment.
- ServiceNow certifications preferred.
- CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, Scrum certification, or related Agile certifications.
- Prior experience supporting Platform Engineering organizations.
